sandal season

I saw a picture of one of the Olsen twins wearing them, so I knew Birkenstocks must be cool (again?). When I told my sister they were on my Christmas list, she joked and said I could have hers from 1992. I used the "cool" Olsen girl thing in my defense, and then I remembered that the last time I was wearing Birkenstocks--in the early 90s--the Olsens were babies on Full House. So that either makes me quasi-cool or a total dork. Either way, I was psyched to put on my new Gizeh sandals this afternoon when the temperature climbed into the high 80s.
