So I wouldn't call today a sunny day, but I did see the sun--or at least evidence that there still is a sun when it broke through the haze (albeit weakly) for a few minutes early this morning. Either way, it did not rain and it was above 60 degrees, so we finally had a chance to soak in that extra hour of daylight. I don't know what the children thought to make of this phenomenon at first--we were able to leave the confines of our house?--but we ended up on a late afternoon nature walk through Eastwoods Park. Catcher fell and landed knee-first on a nut, but that was the extent of our injury report. I'll take it.
