food from a truck

They have this thing in Austin where serving food from an Airstream trailer is, well, a thing. Always one to check out the local hullaballoo, we ventured out on a 106 degree evening last Sunday to put the food trucks to the test. I guess the people around here are used to standing out in the sun ordering food from a giant parking lot because every trailer had a line. After much consideration, we went with Hey, Cupcake! and decided to take it back to our place to enjoy. The Thai trailer (I forget the name) was quite enticing, but I was worried Scout would suffer a heat stroke as her little cheeks became more flushed with every second in the sun. Thus, cupcakes won. Not a bad choice for our first food truck experience (not counting hot dog carts in NYC, of course).
