Scout's class at school is the Ladybug Class (in case the tee shirt didn't give that away). She came home from school today wearing her new shirt and was so excited to tell me how her teachers made it for her.
What's the only thing better than wearing a ladybug tee shirt? Finding an actual ladybug! That's what happened later this afternoon on the sidewalk in front of our house. Scout couldn't believe her luck--because ladybugs are lucky, right?--in discovering a real live ladybug. She almost crushed the poor thing with her enthusiasm (literally).
Ladybug discovery aside, I'm not sure what was happening in this picture (note: the ladybug did not die; no ladybug was injured during the creation of this blog post). I felt obliged to include this shot for Scout's expression alone.
