color run

To celebrate its last day of school, Scout's explore arts preschool class went on a color run this morning. A color run is pretty much what you would imagine it to be--the kids wear white t-shirts and run around while the teachers squirt their torsos with fabric dye. At least that's how Scout described it to me. I'm not sure what kind of safety gear--goggles, shower caps anyone?--was involved in this activity, but the teachers must be decent shots since there was little dye splattered above the neck (not counting the purple splashes on Scout's cheeks and red smear down her chin). If we get really bored this summer I'm thinking I might re-create this little exercise in our backyard. Tie-dye: Austin preschool style.
