Before we spent (wasted?) six hours of our lives looking for a new car yesterday and after I was stranded without a car for the day, Scout was left with no option but to stay home on Monday and play hooky. She wasn't into the idea at first but eventually acquiesced when she realized her absence from school could result in watching television shows at home (not really...but the thought kept her happy). The girls managed to keep themselves entertained, and I was entertained watching those two interact.
By the way, when the exhaustion from purchasing a new car goes away, and the new (i.e. used) car shows up at our house (another story) I might recount the story (nightmare?) of how we came to replace our Eduardo.
