Today was Catcher's last soccer game of the season. Alex was in town for this momentous occasion, so we made it a family affair. Alex ran drills with the team before the game while the girls raced each other on the hillside opposite the field. Afterward the troops were in good spirits, so we took ourselves out to lunch at El Arroyo. At some point, following a bowl of queso and three baskets of chips, the girls went a little loco and started a dance party on the extra-long booth bench where we were seated. I am not responsible for teaching Scout her dance moves, by the way. Thank goodness we were on the patio...in the far back corner of the restaurant...before the weekend brunch rush hour crowd arrived.
